STRONGER TOGETHER

Welcome to Owen Sound District Secondary School. Our school is located on the traditional territory of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation, which is represented by the communities of Saugeen First Nation and Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation. Founded in 2016, OSDSS is a school rooted in the deep traditions and histories of two superb institutions in the Bluewater District School Board: Owen Sound Collegiate and Vocational Institute and West Hill Secondary School: our motto is “together we are strong.”  We are proud to welcome you into our school community as a member of our Wolf Pack.

OSDSS is an accepting and dynamic school that provides excellent opportunities for our students. We welcome all students to further develop their academic potential while they pursue their own paths and continue their educational journeys by becoming more competent, capable, and celebrated individuals.

Though considered a large school, we pride ourselves that we feel like a small, connected community. Our dedicated staff work tirelessly to foster relationships with our students and ensure that all of our students feel supported, challenged, healthy, safe, and engaged.

We encourage our students to immerse themselves fully in their high school experience by taking part in our many and varied extracurricular activities. We celebrate with our students their many accomplishments, both inside and outside the classroom.

This website is designed to encourage students and their families to keep themselves informed about the many opportunities available at OSDSS. The goal is to provide information that will help in the decision-making that occurs around the course selection process during the Grade 8 to Grade 9 transition, and to excite the students about becoming active in our rich school culture. As always, please do not hesitate to ask should you have any questions.

Again, we extend a warm welcome to our OSDSS Wolves Class of 2025! We look forward to seeing you here in Grade 9 next fall.
